Hosting
This website and its notification sign-up run on Cloudflare, Inc. (USA). Cloudflare processes technical connection data such as your IP address to deliver and secure the service. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, based on our interest in a secure and stable website.
German edition notification
On the German homepage you can sign up to be told once by email when a German edition of the book is available. For this we process your email address, the time of your sign-up and confirmation, and the wording of your consent. We use double opt-in: you first receive an email with a confirmation link (through Resend). Only when you click it is your sign-up stored and counted. Unconfirmed sign-ups are deleted after 30 days at the latest. The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). You can withdraw it at any time with effect for the future, using the unsubscribe link in our email or by emailing book@tomstravelbible.com. We keep your address until the German edition is out and we have notified you, or until you unsubscribe, and then delete it. The data is stored on Cloudflare.
Contact by email
If you email us, we use your message to answer you, under Art. 6(1)(b) or (f) GDPR. We delete it once it is no longer needed, unless we must keep it by law.
Transfers to the USA
Cloudflare, Inc. and Resend, Inc. (which sends our confirmation emails) are based in the USA and are certified under the EU–U.S. Data Privacy Framework. Transfers of personal data to them are based on the European Commission's adequacy decision for the Data Privacy Framework of 10 July 2023 (Art. 45 GDPR).
